TREATMENT STATISFACTION SURVEY FOR UNCONTROLLED TYPE 2 DIABETES OLDER PEOPLE

Abstract
The study aims to assess the level of treatment satisfaction among elderly patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes at the National Geriatric Hospital. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 155 elderly patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, defined by an HbA1c level >7.5%. Data were entered into Redcap and analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. The average age of the patients was 70.8 ± 6.9 years. Regarding patient satisfaction with the treatment method, the mean satisfaction score was 24.0 ± 4.5 out of a possible maximum of 36. Responses ranged from 10 (lowest) to 33 (highest). The level of treatment satisfaction for diabetes at the National Geriatric Hospital was higher than the average. It is necessary to improve patients' knowledge about diabetes and introduce treatment methods to their caregivers to further enhance treatment effectiveness
