Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics of patients with soft tissue injuries at the Department of Surgery – Hanoi Traditional Medicine General Hospital. Subjects: Patients diagnosed with soft tissue injuries from March 2022 to October 2022. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study. Results: During the study period, the Department of Surgery at Hanoi Traditional Medicine General Hospital treated 60 patients. The majority were between 18 and 29 years old (35%) and predominantly male (60%). The most common cause was traffic accidents (36.67%). The primary site of injury was the upper limbs (55%). The average pain score on the VAS was 6.72 ± 1.08. Most wound areas were classified as moderate to large in size (96.67%). Conclusion: The study provided a description of several clinical characteristics of patients with soft tissue injuries.
