Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate blood pressure variability in patients with Stanford type B aortic dissection before and after endovascular intervention. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional study on Stanford B patients undergoing endovascular intervention with 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring before and after the procedure. Evaluated indices included mean blood pressure, standard deviation (SD), coefficient of variation (CV), dipping pattern, and blood pressure load. Results: A total of 31 patients (74.2% male, mean age 63.6 years) were analyzed. Mean blood pressure significantly decreased after intervention in the hypertensive group (p < 0.05). SD and CV showed no significant differences. The “non-dipping” pattern accounted for 57.7% (SBP) and 42.3% (DBP). Nocturnal blood pressure load was higher than daytime. Conclusions: Endovascular intervention reduced blood pressure in hypertensive patients but did not significantly change blood pressure variability. The “non-dipping” pattern was predominant.
