Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 24 patients who received dental implants and met the criteria for prosthetic restoration at the Department of Odonto-Stomatology Clinic, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, from September 2024 to October 2024. The participants underwent cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans at 6 months after prosthetic restoration to assess peri-implant tissue status during the initial phase of functional loading. The study results showed that the majority of patients had a low Gingival Index (GI) (mean 0.63); the mean peri-implant pocket depth was 2.42 mm; the mean peri-implant bone loss was 0.97 mm over 6 months; and there were no statistically significant differences in peri-implant tissue parameters among different age groups, genders, or implant locations.
