Abstract

Objective: To evaluate postoperative functional rehabilitation outcomes following total knee arthroplasty at Vinmec Times City International Hospital. Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 35 patients with end-stage knee osteoarthritis undergoing total knee arthroplasty, with a postoperative follow-up period of 6 months. Results: The mean age of the study population was 67.1 ± 6.9 years, with females accounting for 82.8%. The mean Knee Society Knee Score increased from 45.2 ± 6.1 preoperatively to 86.1 ± 8.3 at 3 months and 89.4 ± 6.9 at 6 months. The mean Knee Society Function Score improved from 44.8 ± 5.9 preoperatively to 88.1 ± 8.2 at 6 months. By the third postoperative month, 100% of patients achieved knee flexion greater than 1000, more than 90% were pain-free, and 92.9% regained independent ambulation. Conclusion: Total knee arthroplasty combined with early and structured rehabilitation yields significant improvements in knee function, painful reduction, and recovery of mobility.
