Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of the results of phaco surgery combined with trabeculectomy on the same site. Subjects and methods: non-comparative intervention study on 53 eyes diagnosed with glaucoma and cataracts indicated for phaco surgery combination with trabeculectomy on the same site from February 2021 to October 2021 at Nghe An eye Hospital. Results: All surgery cases with good results accounted for 98.1%, 1 case with good results accounted for 1.9%. Visual acuity improved 100% at the time of postoperative follow-up, IOP correction accounted for 98.1%, there was 1 case of semi-corrected intraocular pressure accounting for 1.9%, the average astigmatism after 3 months of surgery was = 1.1872 ± 0.7234, constricted visual field accounted for 18.9%, increasing over 1 month. After surgery, filtering bleb type 2 accounted for 37.7%, filtering bleb type 1 accounted for 35.8%, filtering bleb type 3 accounted for 20.8%, type 4 accounted for 5.7%, complications in surgery, capsulorhexis and iris lesions accounted for 15.1%, anterior chamber hemorrhage accounted for 7.5%, posterior capsulotomy and Descemet's membrane detachment accounted for 5.7%. Post-operative complications occurred during the patient's hospital stay, the most common was anterior chamber collapse accounted for 9.4%, corneal edema accounted for 7.5%, uveitis accounted for 5.7%, cystic macular edema accounts for 3.8%.
