Abstract

The implementation of drug bidding results related to in-time and reasonable supply of drugs, and at the same time enforcing the rules of the Ministry of Health for public hospital. This study was conducted to evaluate the implementation   of drug bidding   result at National hospital of obstetrics and gynecology (NHOG) to adjust and to select medicines that ensure quality standards and price stability, contributing to improving the efficiency of medical examination and treatment. Research Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive design, data were collected from the hospital drugs list and implementation of drug bidding list. Result: The drug bidding list has a total of 117 medicines with a value of 99,98 billion VND. However, only 96 drugs (accounting for 82.05% of the drug items) reached the value of 61.2 billion VND, equivalent to 61.21% rate of money value implementation. The drugs list used to include 19 treatment groups. Due to the impact of the COVID-19, the implementing rate in terms of money value in August and September dropped sharply from 3 billion to 4 billion VND, equivalent to 60% of the average value of monthly drug used in 2021. The ABC-VEN analysis showed that AV, AE group including 11 drugs, accounting for nearly 80% of the value. Drugs in group patients include one medicine, accounting for 1.04% of items and 0.55% of value. The structure of the list of drug bidding and the hospital drugs list implemented by the NHOG is suitable for the treatment groups
