STRESS STATUS IN HEALTH STAFF AT TIEN GIANG GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract

Background: The need to consistently deliver quality health care services is placing unprecedented strain on the well-being of healthcare workers and their productivity is negatively impacting health care services organizational health metrics. Objective: To determine the prevalence of stress among medical staff at Tien Giang General Hospital in 2023. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 240 medical staff at the hospital Tien Giang General Hospital in 2023. Applying stratified sampling method combined with simple randomization. Results: Stress rate among medical staff at Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital in 2023: 28.33% of medical staff are stressed; 71.67% no stress, 12.5% mild stress, 6.67% moderate stress, 6.25% severe stress, 2.22% very severe stress. Conclusion: The results of the study will help policymakers better understand the situation and be able to come up with appropriate interventions to reduce stress on skilled human resources in health facilities.
