Abstract

Background: Lung nodules are nodules with a diameter of less than or equal to 30mm, some of which are benign lesions, some are primary malignant, the rest are lung metastatic lesions.1 The analysis of the imaging characteristics of the opacities allows us to assess the malignancy potential of the opacities and the follow-up strategy for each opacity. Using low-dose CT is considered a method to help early detection and allows image analysis of lung opacities to assess the risk of malignancy of the opacities. Objectives: To evaluate the imaging characteristics of lung opacities on low-dose 128-slice computed tomography. Subjects and methods: 33 patients were screened for cervical cancer by low-dose CT at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Results: In terms of imaging characteristics, the difference in lung nodule images on low-dose CT and standard-dose CT did not change the strategy for treating pulmonary opacities. Conclusion: Low-dose CT has high value in early screening for lung cancer and reducing radiation dose for patients. Conclusion: Low-dose CT has high value in early screening for lung cancer.
