ASSOCIATED FACTORS, CLINICAL AND PARACLINICAL FEATURES OF SYSTEMIC SCLERODERMA AT NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF DERMATOLOGY AND VENEREOLOGY

Abstract
Objective: This study aims to survey some related factors and describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of systemic sclerosis at the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology from October 2023 to September 2024. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 153 patients diagnosed with systemic sclerosis according to ACR/EULAR 2013 criteria. Results: Among 153 patients, diffuse scleroderma predominated in 57.4%, while limited scleroderma accounted for 42.6%. Common clinical symptoms included skin symptoms: swelling (49.7%) and shortened frenulum (39.2%), vascular symptoms: Raynaud's (86%), pitting of the fingertips (60.8%), and respiratory symptoms (67%). Pulmonary fibrosis was noted in 32.6% of patients on HRCT, with reduced FVC (<80%) in 72% of patients, and 32.6% of patients had pulmonary hypertension. The rate of patients positive for ANA was 72%, in which the main deposition pattern was Grainy like Scl-70 (46.3%), 72.5% of patients had Anti-topoimerase I autoantibodies. The analysis results showed that women had a higher risk of developing the disseminated form of the disease, however, there was no clear relationship between age and the disease type.
