Prospective study, describing cases series from February 2022 to February 2023. Results: Mechanical ventilation was 94%, mechanical ventilation < 7 days was 54.7%. 98% of patients used antibiotics, no patients used antivirals and ECMO. Treatment duration > 14 days had the highest rate of 46.7%. Mortality rate was 14%; the group with COVID-19 had a higher mortality rate than the group without COVID-19. The most common causes of death were multiple organ failure and infection at 52.38% and 28.58%, respectively. Conclusion: Children under 6 months of age with severe COVID-19-related illness have a high mortality rate and many serious complications. Therefore, it is necessary to identify it as an important issue for public health and promote research to understand the risk factors for death and develop optimal treatment methods for this group of children.
