Abstract

A study of 23,562 gastrointestinal endoscopy records at Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (2022–2024) revealed a high prevalence of gastrointestinal disorders. GERD and gastric-duodenal inflammation were the most common conditions, comprising 85.1% and 73.1% of cases, respectively. Men had a higher prevalence of colon polyps and gastric ulcers, while women were more likely to suffer from GERD. The incidence of these conditions increased with age, particularly in individuals over 60, where the prevalence reached 65%. The study recommends enhanced screening for gastrointestinal disorders, particularly in individuals over 40 years old.
