Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the result of endodontic treatment of mandibular first molar by single-visit at Thai Nguyen university of medicine and pharmacy hospital from 2020 to 2021. Subjects and Methods: A randomized clinical trial, a total of 40 mandibular first molar, being diagnosed with pulp necrosis or irreversible pulpitis and single visit root canal treatment. The treatment results were evaluated based on root canal obturation immediately, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 6 months follow-ups. Results: Post-operative outcomes on 1 day after treatment: No pain accounted for 40%, non-reporting severe pain. After 1 1 month and after 6 months it was good with the percentages were 95% and 94,74%. The mean time needed to complete a single visit root canal treatment ranged from 83,22 ± 24,03 mins for a tooth having three canals, to 93,95±21,05 mins for one having four canals. Conclusion: Single visit root canal treatment is a viable treatment option for teeth having irreversible pulpitis and irrespective.
