Abstract

Objective: Evaluating the results of laparoscopic surgery to close the peritoneal tube combined with Endoneedle needle to treat congenital inguinal hernia at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 29 pediatric patients with congenital inguinal hernia treated with laparoscopic surgery to close the crystalline peritoneal tube combined with Endoneedle needle at the Department of General Surgery, Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital over a period of months October 2022 to October 2023. Results: 44,8% of pediatric patients had a postoperative hospital stay of 3-4 days. Most pediatric patients can return to personal activities after 12 hours, accounting for 62.1%. Most pediatric patients experienced mild pain after surgery and no patient had much pain. Results of early postoperative evaluation showed that 96,6% of pediatric patients were in good condition and 3,4% were in fair condition.Conclusion: Treatment of congenital inguinal hernia by laparoscopic surgery to close the peritoneal tube with Endoneedle needle is an effective and safe method, helping to shorten hospital stay and early post-operative recovery time.
