Abstract

Objective: Identify predictors of the 1STST performance in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study, 122 people with stable COPD were performed the 1STST test. For each participant, collected: age, sex, weight, height, body mass index (BMI), mMRC dyspnea severity and FEV1, FVC and 12-month hospitalization history. Predictors of 1STST were identified through multivariable linear regression. Results and conclusions: Results obtained from stepwise multiple linear regression analysis showed that history of hospitalization due to acute exacerbations within 12 months, mMRC dyspnea score and age were independent determinants of the value of 1STST, no correlation was found. relationship between the values of 1STST and lung function parameters.
