Abstract

Objective: The study has objectives: Evaluate the results of treatment with a sequential regimen on patients with Helicobacter pylori-positive gastric and duodenal ulcers at the examination department of Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital in 2023-2024. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 148 patients aged 15 and above diagnosed with peptic ulcers due to H. pylori who sought medical care and treatment at the Provincial General Hospital of Tien Giang from 2023 to 2024. Result: The successful H. pylori eradication rate of the sequential regimen was 89.3%. H. pylori eradication failure of sequential regimen was 10.7%. Patients whose pain was relieved accounted for 90.4%, patients who still had pain accounted for 9.6%. Pain relief after 1 week of treatment accounts for 53.8%, pain relief after 2 weeks accounts for 26%, pain relief after 3 weeks accounts for 10.6%, and pain relief accounts for 9.6%, those are patients who have not yet received treatment. heal the ulcer. Healed ulcer scars account for 83%, unhealed ulcer scars account for 17%. Scar healing was 87.2%, ulcers shrank <50% accounted for 11.5%, ulcers remained the same accounted for 1.3% of the LDD group; Scar healing is 79.2%, ulcer shrinkage <50% accounts for 12.5%, 50% accounts for 40% of the LDDTT group. Patients with side effects account for 16.1%, patients without side effects account for 83.9%.
