CLINICAL AND SUBCLINICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF PATIENTS TREATED BY SURGERY FOR UTERINE FIBROIDS AT NAM DINH OBSTETRIC AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: Describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of uterine fibroids patients treated surgically at Nam Dinh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from January 2023 to June 2023. Research method: retrospective cross – sectional description. Results: The average age of the study subjects was 47.8±3.8 years old. The time of occurrence of uterine fibroids > 1 year accounts for 48.7%. The main clinical symptoms are lower abdominal pain 66.8%; vaginal bleeding accounts for 32.7%. Mainly cases without anemia or mild anemia; 92% are < 10 cm in size and the tumor is often diffuse. Conclusion: Uterine fibroids are a common disease in women over 40 years old. Clinical symptoms of abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, and large tumor size are often features that indicate surgery in patients with uterine fibroids
