CURRENT STATUS OF SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS FOR PATIENTS ADMITTED TO VIET DUC UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract

Screening and assessment of nutritional status for hospitalized patients has been required by the Ministry of Health to become a routine part of patient admission. In 2016, Viet Duc University Hospital implemented screening and assessment of nutritional status for patients admitted to the hospital by using pre-printed forms. Up to now, with the support of hospital software, medical staff can enter nutritional screening data on the software and quickly provide results of the patient's nutritional status. Our study research the implementation of nutritional screening and assessment for inpatients at Viet Duc University Hospital in 6 months of 2023. The results showed: Rate of implementation of screening and assessment TTDD for inpatients is 89.6%; Of which 94.8% of patients were screened within 36 hours of admission. Among patients hospitalized for more than 7 days, 63.7% of patients were screened and re-evaluated for nutrition status
