Abstract

Objective: Evaluate treatment compliance of chronic heart failure patients receiving outpatient treatment at the senior staff medical examination department - Central Military Hospital 108. Subjects and methods: Prospective, descriptive study equivalent to a convenient sample size of 78 patients with chronic heart failure. Assess patient compliance with treatment through the General Medication Adherence Scale (GMAS) questionnaire. Results: The average age of the study group was 65.9 ± 14.8 years old, of which mainly the 70-80 age group accounted for 27%, mainly NYHA II heart failure accounted for 50%. Adherence to treatment according to the GMAS scale is high at 32.12 ± 1.45, but adherence is still poor due to difficulty buying medicine 2.19 ± 0.89 and forgetting to take medicine when suffering from more severe diseases. 2.29 ± 0.28. There is a moderate correlation between adherence to heart failure medication and NT-ProBNP, with r: -0.45, p <0.05. Conclusion: The more patients adhere to treatment, the more stable and progressive their chronic heart failure condition will be.
