Abstract

Background: Benign or malignant ovarian tumors are a prevalent condition affecting women of all ages, particularly following sexual activity. Objectives: The study aims to describe clinical, subclinical characteristics and some surgery method features of ovarian tumors based on O-RADS classification at Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital in 2023-2024. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study conducted on 76 patients who diagnosed with ovarian based on the O-RADS classification and treated with surgery from May 2023 to May 2024 at Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital. Results: The age group over 40 accounts for the highest proportion (47.4%). Abdominal pain symptoms account for the highest rate (60.5%), with no symptoms (25%). The location of ovarian tumors appears mainly on one side (98.7%), examination often shows that they can move easily (75.0%). Tumor size on ultrasound ranges from 50-99 mm, accounting for the highest proportion (68.4%). Ovarian tumors O-RADs 3 account for the highest proportion (61.8%). The main surgical method is laparoscopic surgery, accounting for 82.9%. Of these, tumor removal accounted for 65.8%, tumor adnexectomy 25.0%, total hysterectomy and 2 appendages 9,2%. Conclusions: The disease often only manifests as pain or pressure in the lower abdomen, in many cases there are no symptoms. Tumors are usually detected when the size is 50 mm or larger.
