Abstract

Objective: To survey eyes complications in patients with diabetes type 2 at Thai Nguyen National Hospital. Subjects and methods: The study was conducted on 1012 patients with diabetes type 2 at Thai Nguyen National Hospital. Cross-sectional descriptive study. Results: - The duration of diabetes of the patients in the study was mainly from 5-10 years (39.43%) and mainly occurred in patients over 60 years old. - Normal vision acuty was 4.1%, decreased visual acuity was the most common 49.3%, and blind was 12.7%. - There were 549/1012 patients with eyes complications, of which diabetic retinopathy had the highest rate with 269 patients (21.03%), cataract with 203 patients (15.87%).
