RESEARCH INFECTION RATE OF DEMODEX AND SOME RELATED FACTORS IN PATIENTS WITH FACIAL CORTICOSTEROID ADDICTIVE DERMATITIS AT CAN THO DERMATOLOGY HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract
Background: The indiscriminate use of corticosteroids for beauty care today causes immunodeficiency of the skin barrier, creating favorable conditions for fungi and Demodex to easily develop on dermatitis patient Facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis (FCAD). Disturbance of the skin microbiome (bacteria, fungi, parasites, etc.) is currently an issue receiving more and more attention, especially Demodex appears more and more, causing clinical symptoms. Complicated and difficult clinical situation in completely treating the current disease Corticoid-dependent dermatitis. Subjects and methods: cross-sectional descriptive study design, 80 patients FCAD is tested for Demodex. Results and conclusion: The rate of Demodex infection in FCAD patients is 7.5%; In the Demodex group, 100% of FCAD patients used TCs for more than 1 year, the percentage of oily skin in this disease group was 83.3%, and 66.7% were in families with dogs and cats.
