PREVALENCE AND CLASSIFICATION OF RISK FACTORS OF GESTINAL DIABETES AT HANOI OBSTETRIC HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: Determine the rate and classify risk factors of gestational diabetes (GDM) at Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 1450 pregnant women at Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital from January to June 2023. Results: Of the 1,450 pregnant women participating in the study, 29.17% (423) had gestational diabetes. The average age of pregnant women participating in the study was 26-34 (53.93%), > 35 years old accounted for 19.72. Most pregnant women with GDM have a BMI > 23. The rate of history of giving birth to large children in the GDM group was 26.48% higher than the group without GDM 17.04%, however the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The rate of gestational diabetes is 29.17% (423 pregnant women). Some factors related to gestational diabetes are: Pregnant women's gestational age > 35, BMI > 23 increases the rate of gestational diabetes in a statistically significant way; Some other factors such as: family history of diabetes and the pregnant woman's own history of gestational diabetes, obstetric history of giving birth to a large baby ≥ 3600g also cause an increased rate of gestational diabetes but do not statistical significance.
