Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: Assessing the quality of life (QoL) of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) at one week and one month after hepatectomy at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 112 patients with HCC treated by hepatectomy at the Department of Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City on QoL at 1 week and 1 month after surgery, during the period from November 2023 to March 2024, meets the sampling criteria and agrees to participate in the study. Results: The patient's average QoL score according to the QLQ-C30 scale 1 week after surgery was 75.02±9.80 and after 1 month was 86.01±7.11 points, an increase of 10.98±7.81 points. Conclusions: The average QoL score of patients with HCC 1 week after hepatectomy was relatively good and had a significant increase 1 month after surgery, showing the effectiveness of treatment intervention and post-operative care
