Abstract

Introduction: Superior mesenteric artery dissection is a rare condition. Treatment methods include medical management, endovascular intervention, and surgery. Intervention and surgery are seldom indicated but may be necessary in certain cases. Case report: We present a case of a 45-year-old male diagnosed with Superior mesenteric artery dissection. Initially managed conservatively, the patient's symptoms did not improve over time, leading to successful surgical intervention. Conclusion: Surgery can be a feasible option for treating superior mesenteric artery dissection when medical management or endovascular intervention fails.
