Abstract

Objective: Describe the current status of adherence to ARV treatment of HIV/AIDS patients at Vu Thu district general hospital in 2023. Research subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study developed with 199 HIV/AIDS patients receive ARV treatment from April to July 2023 at the HIV/AIDS outpatient clinic - Vu Thu District General Hospital. Results: The predominant level of compliance was medium compliance, 83.9%, while 2.0% and 14.1% presented medium and low compliance level respectively. Conclusion: The treatment adherence rate according to this composite assessment is significantly lower than the treatment adherence rate according to the individual assessment of each aspect, showing that patients have good knowledge about ARV drug use. does not mean good treatment compliance.
