Abstract
Objective: To assess the efficacy of endoscopic submucosal dissection in the treatment of pre-cancer and early-stage cancer in the colon. Subjects and methods: A non-controlled clinical intervention was conducted on 30 patients with colorectal polyps treated by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). All patients were followed up two months after treatment to assess for recurrence. Results: Before treatment, according to the JNET classification, the majority were type IIA (76.7%); according to the KUDO classification, type IIIL (63.3%), and 6 cases of early cancer. Results of ESD implementation: 100% of the technique was successful, mainly in over 30 minutes (76.7%), with no complications. The en-bloc resection rate was 100%, the R0 rate was 86.7%. After two months of follow-up, 100% of patients had healed scars and no recurrence. Conclusion: Submucosal dissection is an effective and safe technique in the treatment of pre-cancer and early-stage cancer in the colon
