Abstract

Objective: Evaluate the result of second-line chemotherapy in elderly patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer using Docetaxel at Friendship hospital. Methods: Clinical descriptive design, longitudinal follow-up on 42 patients treatment at Friendship Hospital from February 2019 to April 2024. Evaluation criteria was RECIST 1.1 criteria (physical response). Result: The response rate after 3 cycles is 16,7%, and after 6 cycles, 14,3%. The stable disease rate is 52,4% and 35,7%, respectively. The progression rate is 31% and 50%. The median progression-free survival is 4,64 months (95% CI, 4,113 to 5,157). Conclusion: Docetaxel is an appropriated selection for the second-line chemotherapy which treats stage IV non-small cell lung cancer in elderly patients
