A CONSERVATIVE CASE TREATMENT OF COLONAL FISTULA AFTER PERCUTANEOUS NEPHROLITHOTOMY OF RIGHT HORSESHOE KIDNEY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) which has been introduced into Viet Duc University Hospital for over 10 years. PCNL is being performed entirely under the guidance of ultrasound with a small 18 Fr tunnel (mini PCNL). This technique has obtained great achievements in treating complicated kidney stones, with a stone clearance rate of up to 95%. However, some complications such as bleeding requiring selective embolization, septic shock, etc still happened. In which, colonic fistulas which had been described, even rarely before, accounting for 0.3-0.5%. We describe a rare case of colonic fistula after mini PCNL under ultrasound guidance that was treated conservatively, thereby discussing risk factors, prevention, early detection and diagnosis of colonic fistula complications.
