Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 185 nurses at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City from November 2023 to June 2024, meets the sampling criteria and agrees to participate in the study. Results: The average age of the study subjects was 31.26±4.60 years old, the majority were female (98.4%), the age group from 31-40 years accounts for the highest percentage (60.5%), most of them had a university degree (93%). The rate of nurses with knowledge is 98.7% and practice is 88.1%. Research results show that the need to update knowledge was related to knowledge and practice of falls prevention. Knowledge and practice of preventing falls had a positive correlation. Conclusions: The rate of knowledge and general practice of preventing falls is high. The rate of practicing fall risk assessment (98.4%) is higher than the rate of fall prevention intervention (87.6%).
