DIAGNOSIS OF CORONARY ARTERY SPASM-INDUCED ANGINA WITH ERGONOVINE: A LITERATURE REVIEW UPDATE

Abstract
Coronary artery spasms cause acute or chronic ischemia in the absence of significant obstruction. The coronary spasm provocation test is a key diagnostic tool, and despite their different pharmacological actions, both acetylcholine and ergonovine can be utilized. This article presents a clinical case of angina due to coronary artery spasm, diagnosed using ergonovine and successfully treated at Tam Anh Hospital. Additionally, the article reviews the history, underlying principles, procedure, and safety of this diagnostic method.
