SURVEY ON KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AND PRACTICES ON DISEASE CONTROL OF TYPE 2 DIABETES AT XANH PON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: The study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) that affect the effectiveness of disease control at Xanh Pon Hospital. Methodology: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 100 patients, by randomly interviewing, selecting convenient samples. Patients were collected information on knowledge, attitudes and behaviors through a standardized questionnaire. Results: Knowledge: 87% of patients had correct knowledge about diabetes. Retired people and those with higher education levels often had more correct knowledge. Attitude: 98% of patients had positive attitudes. Behavior: 87% of patients practiced correctly. Patients with comorbidities often learned more about the disease and practiced better. Conclusion: Knowledge, attitudes and practices of patients with T2DM play an important role in disease control.
