Abstract
Objective: Evaluate the results of treatment of osteoporosis in older people after hip replacement due to fracture in surgery Trauma Orthopedics. Subjects and research methods: A retrospective research study of 175 patients with hip replacement at Thong Nhat Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019. Results: One hundred seventy-five patients with 85.1% of osteoporosis, 84.7% of osteoporosis patients adhered to treatment and did not fracture again, 94.4% of patients who gave up osteoporosis treatment broke again. Conclusion: Treatment of osteoporosis in elderly patients with hip fractures is essential and patients closely during the treatment process to minimize the fracture.
