The rate of surgical site infections in the study group was 10.7%. Many patients had superficial surgical site infections, there were 2 cases with deep infection factors requiring surgical intervention, and 1 case had surgical site infections 1 month after discharge. There was a statistically significant association between the time of surgical wound care and the rate of surgical site infections in patients (OR = 0.086; 95%CI: 0.2 - 0.42; p = 0.001).
