Abstract

Objective: To analyze the treatment results of threatened miscarriage at Phu Tho Provincial Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital in 2023-2024. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 190 pregnant women/pregnant women's medical records with diagnosis and treatment of threatened miscarriage. Results: The proportion of pregnant women in the age group of 25-29 was 33.7%; the age group of 30-34 was 24.7% and ≥35 was 22.1%. The treatment results for threatened miscarriage in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy had successful proportion was 95.3% and failure was 4.7%. Pregnant women >35 years old had successful treatment proportion was 85.7%, lower than pregnant women aged ≤35 (97.4%), the difference was statistically significant with p<0.05. The successful treatment proportion in the group of pregnant women with hematoma > ½ amniotic sac circumference was 77.3%; lower than the group with hematoma ≤½ amniotic sac circumference (97.8%); the difference was statistically significant with p<0.05. Conclusion: The treatment of threatened miscarriage ≤12 weeks at Phu Tho Provincial Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital has high successful proportion.
