Abstract

Research objective: The status of sequelae and evaluation of motor function rehabilitation results in patients with cerebral stroke using mirror therapy combined with constraint induced movement therapy at Lang Son Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital. Research subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study and comparative intervention study between the intervention group and the control group before and after treatment on 60 patients with hemiplegia due to cerebral stroke at Lang Son Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital from October 2023 to October 2024. Results: After 3 months of treatment, in the intervention group, 93.33% of patients could sit (before treatment, 40%), 76.67 patients could stand (before treatment, 23.33%), 73.33% of patients could walk (before treatment, 13.33%). The level of movement of the paralyzed hand increased in the intervention group with the level of good and fair movement up to 93.33% (before treatment accounted for 3.33%). The level of dexterity of the paralyzed hand increased with the dexterity level 4,5,6 being the highest level accounting for 90% (before treatment accounted for 0%). Conclusion: The therapeutic mirror method combined with constraint induced movement therapy on patients with hemiplegia due to cerebral stroke has a high treatment effect.
