Abstract

Objectives: 1. Assessment of fatigue status of patients after lower limb fusion surgery at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital in 2023. 2. Identify some relationships related to fatigue in patients after lower limb fusion surgery at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital in 2023.. Subjects and research method: 85 patients underwent lower limb bone fusion surgery at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital from April 2023 to August 2023. Results: On days 1, 2, and 3 after surgery, patients had high levels of fatigue (112.25; 108.28; 98.76); on days 5 and 7, patients had moderate levels of fatigue (78.37 and 63.49). In the first 3 days after surgery, fatigue levels were high and gradually decreased until day 7 after surgery. Postoperative pain and anxiety factors were closely related to patients' postoperative fatigue levels (r = 0.711; r = 0.527; p < 0.05). Conclusion: The study results showed that patients had high levels of fatigue in the first 7 days after surgery. The more pain and anxiety the patient had, the higher the level of fatigue after surgery.
