SURVEY OF CLINICAL AND PARACLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENTS WITH HEMORRHOIDS AT VO TRUONG TOAN HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: The study has objectives: Describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of patients with hemorrhoids at Vo Truong Toan University Hospital. Methods: Retrospective and prospective cross-sectional study design on 42 patients hemorrhoids at Vo Truong Toan University Hospital from 2018 to June 2023. Result: Results: Clinical and paraclinical characteristics: 100% of patients had symptoms of anal pain, 90.5% had bleeding during defecation and 83.3% had hemorrhoid prolapse. Regarding the classification of hemorrhoids, there were 21 cases of grade 3 internal hemorrhoids accounting for 50% and 21 cases of mixed hemorrhoids accounting for 50%. Classification of hemorrhoids by complications included thrombosed hemorrhoids accounting for 7.1%, acute hemorrhoidal bleeding accounting for 26.2% and simple hemorrhoids accounting for 66.7%.
