Abstract

Objective. Describe the status of management and treatment of hypertensive patients and some related factors in Hong Ha ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh, in 2021. Subjects and methods. A cross-sectional descriptive study was produced among 250 adults diagnosed with hypertension, living in Hong Ha ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province from January 1. 2021 to September 2021. Results. Of the total number of hypertensive patients managed, 88.4% of patients were effectively managed. The multivariable regression model showed that there was an association between the effective management of hypertension and age 70 - 79 (aOR = 8.00) and <70 years old (aOR = 6.80), duration of treatment > 5 years (aOR = 3.09), no comorbidities (aOR = 3.21), no smoking (aOR = 11.91), physically active (aOR = 6.89). Conclusion. It is necessary to pay attention to manage patients with lower effective treatment management status.
