INCIDENCE OF SOME COMMON DERMATOLOGICAL DISEASES AT TRA VINH UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: To determine the rate of some common dermatological diseases of patients visiting Tra Vinh University Hospital. Method: Descriptive cross-sectional study on 396 patients at the Dermatology Clinic - Tra Vinh University Hospital from June 2023 to June 2024. Results: 87.6% of patients participating in the study were aged >15, with an average age of 34.93±18.82; males accounted for 43.94%, females accounted for 56.06%, the majority were Kinh ethnic group (89.65%). The rates of diagnosed diseases were acne 25%, eczema 19.69%; skin fungus 10.61%; scabies 7.32%; urticaria 5.3%; psoriasis 2.53% and the rest were other less common diseases. Conclusion: Dermatological diseases are very diverse, non-infectious skin diseases are dominant, in which dermatitis group accounts for a higher proportion than other diseases.
