Abstract

Background/Objectives: Patients infected with COVID-19 have very diverse manifestations, with a high recovery rate but still have many complications in one or more organs. The study conducted a survey on the rate of some neurological complications in post-COVID-19 patients. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional description of 188 post-COVID-19 patients at the respiratory department, Ho Chi Minh city hospital of rehabilitation and occupational disease in 2022-2023. Results: 40.2% of post-COVID-19 patients had neurological complications with diverse manifestations. Among them, fatigue symptoms accounted for the highest 27.1%, 22.3% of patients had decreased sense of smell and 19.7% had polymyalgia. Differences in place of residence, COVID-19 vaccination before infection, and disease severity were statistically significant in neurological complications in post-COVID-19 patients. Conclusions: Neurological complications in patients after COVID-19 infection had diverse manifestations. Factors related to complications include place of residence, COVID-19 vaccination before infection and severity of illness.
