RESEARCH ON TREATMENT ADHERENCE OF OUTPATIENTS DIAGNOSED CHRONIC CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE AT CAN THO GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract
Background: Correct diagnosis and reasonable prescription are necessary for effective treatment of coronary artery disease. Patient compliance with long-term treatment is a crucial point to consider. Objective: Research on treatment adherence and some factors related to non-adherence of patients with chronic coronary artery disease receiving outpatient treatment at Can Tho General Hospital in 2023. Subjects and Method: Study on 309 outppatients with chronic coronary artery disease at Can Tho General Hospital in 2023. All data was collected by questionaires. SPSS 23.0 software was used for analyzing data. Results: There were 51.46% of patients omplied with their treatment plans, compared to 48.54% who did not. Some associated with non-adherence to therapy: patients with secondary school education or less (OR=2.024, p<0.050); patients living in urban areas (OR=1.638, p<0, 05); patients with incorrect general knowledge (OR=1.647, p<0.05). Conclusion: To ensure that patients adhere to therapy more effectively, it is important to pay attention to their lifestyle choices and provide accurate information regarding coronary artery disease.
