CURRENT STATE OF HOSPITAL INFECTION PREVENTION OF NURSES AT HA NAM PROVINCE GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2024

Abstract
Objective: Assessment of the current situation of hospital infection prevention of nurses at Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital in 2024. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 332 nurses working in clinical departments of Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital from March to September 2024. Results: Nurses had positive attitudes towards hospital infection, isolation prevention, hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, infection prevention during injection and occupational exposure management at 81,9%; 87,3%; 78%; 94%; 82,8%. Conclusion: The results show that most nurses have a positive attitude towards hospital infection prevention. Hospitals need to have regular training and coaching programs to maintain and improve attitudes towards hospital infection prevention.
