Abstract

Objectives: To investigate the characteristics of coronary artery lesions and some related factors in patients with chronic coronary syndrome and diabetes undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on patients with chronic coronary syndrome and diabetes undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention at the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City from January 2024 to January 2025. Results: A total of 62 patients were included, with a mean age of 66.56 ± 9.33 years. Lesions in LAD were present in 62.9% of cases. Patients with dyslipidemia had a significantly higher risk of triple vessel coronary artery disease (OR=10.56) and severe coronary artery lesions (OR=7.00). Conclusion: In patients with chronic coronary syndrome and diabetes undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention, LAD was the most commonly artery lesions. The history of dyslipidemia was associated with an increased risk of triple vessel disease and severe coronary artery lesions.
