Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To survey some factors related to the results of nursing care for patients with distal radius fractures treated conservatively at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in 2023. Subjects and methods: Including 185 patients with distal radius fractures treated conservatively with plaster casts at Viet Duc Hospital from April 2023 to August 2023. The research tool is a medical record developed by the research team based on the Ministry of Health's guidelines on care for patients with fractures and the Ministry of Health's guidelines on patient satisfaction surveys. Results: Good care results accounted for 92.0%, and poor care 8.0%. There was no difference in care results between age, gender, geography, and education groups. However, the patients who were cadres, civil servants, and public employees had better care results than those who were farmers and businessmen, p=0.01. Regarding injury characteristics, the care outcomes were better in the group of patients with traffic accidents, injuries to the left arm, immobilized and transferred to the hospital for treatment, and hospitalization time under 12 hours compared to the remaining group with ORs of 2.095; 10.091; 12.037; 6.811, respectively, and p<0.05. Conclusion: The care outcomes were better in the urban group, immobilized before going to the hospital, and hospitalization time after the accident was under 12 hours.
