TREATMENT OF FLAT WARTS WITH PULSED DYE LASER

Abstract
Objective: To investigate efficacy of pulsed dye laser in the treatment of flat warts. Method: 31 patients diagnosed with flat warts were recruited in the study at National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology. The patients were given pulsed dye laser for 1 or 2 times. We assessed situation of the disease before, during and after treatment. Results: The clearance rate was 64,52% after 2 times of treatment. No patient had recurrence after 2 months of following. Side effects with bullous and hyperpigmentation were 6,45% and 25,81%, respectively. Conclusion: Our results indicated that pulsed dye laser is a good therapy for flat warts with less complications.
