CURRENT STATUS OF KNOWLEDGE ON PREVENTING CEREBRAL STROKE OF PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION AT NAM DINH PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2024

Abstract
Objective: Describe the current status of stroke prevention knowledge of hypertensive patients at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital and identify some related factors. Research subjects and methods: Take a complete sample, take all hypertensive patients treated as outpatients at Nam Dinh General Hospital from the beginning of November to the end of December 2024. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional descriptive method. Take research subjects according to selection criteria. The sample size of the study was based on the formula 347. Using the Questionnaire on knowledge and attitudes on stroke prevention of hypertensive patients at Gia Loc District Medical Center, Hai Duong Province in 2023 by author Nguyen Hoai Thu. Results: Stroke prevention knowledge of hypertensive patients is at an average level. Some factors affecting stroke prevention knowledge include: Age, education level, occupation, duration of illness, associated diseases and sources of information received.
