CORRELATION BETWEEN MRI IMAGES OF THE LUMBAR SPINE AND LOWER LIMB NERVE CONDUCTION CHARACTERISTICS IN PATIENTS WITH SCIATICA
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: Determine the correlation between MRI images of the lumbar spine and lower limb nerve conduction characteristics in patients with sciatica. Methods: Cross-sectional description of 60 patients diagnosed with unilateral sciatica, had MRI of the lumbar spine, and had nerve conduction measurements at the Functional Investigation Department - University Hospital. Hanoi Medical School. Results and conclusions: There is a correlation between the number of disc herniation levels and the posterior tibial nerve motor potential time (p<0.05). There is no correlation between the location of root compression and lower limb nerve conduction (p>0.05);
