Abstract
Objective: To describe and analyze factors associated with knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding the prevention of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer (CC) among women underwent gynecological examination at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology (NHOG). Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 400 women visiting the gynecology clinic at NHOG from 1/2025 to 7/2025. Results: A high proportion of women had correct knowledge (71.5%) and appropriate practices (76%) regarding HPV and CC prevention; however, the proportion with a positive attitude was lower (39.5%). Higher educational levels were significantly associated with better knowledge, attitudes, and practices (p<0.05). Women with a history of vaginitis had higher odds of having correct knowledge (AOR=2.27, p=0.002), and those with a history of cervicitis had higher odds of appropriate practices (AOR=3.96, p=0.001). Conclusion: Knowledge and practices related to HPV and cervical cancer prevention were relatively high, but attitudes remained suboptimal. Educational level, history of infection, age group, marital status, and occupation were closely associated with these outcomes.
