SURVEY ON COMPLIANCE WITH THE ENHANCED RECOVERY AFTER SURGERY (ERAS) PROTOCOL IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY AT NHAN DAN GIA DINH HOSPITAL
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To determine the compliance rate with the components of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol in laparoscopic hysterectomy. Subjects and Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted on 145 patients (ASA I–III) who underwent laparoscopic hysterectomy and received care following the ERAS protocol at Nhan Dan Gia Dinh Hospital from January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Results: Among the 15 ERAS components applied to the 145 patients, the average number of components implemented was 11.7 ± 1.0 (range: 9–14). The overall compliance rate with the ERAS protocol was 77.7 ± 6.9% (minimum: 60%, maximum: 93.3%). The proportion of patients with compliance <70% was 10.3% (15 patients), while those with ≥70% compliance accounted for 89.7% (130 patients). Conclusion: These results indicate that the ERAS protocol has been effectively implemented at an initial stage. However, enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration, strict monitoring, and continuous staff training are necessary to further improve compliance.
